Spotlight on 25 Years of Disney Pins Anniversary Pins

Generally, the topics in this board will be looking back on different pin-related subjects over the last 25 years, but today we're looking forward! The fun of Disney's celebration of Disney Pins has begun for real. After a false start last week when pins were dropping in odd places throughout WDW a bit ahead of schedule, it's finally time to see the official release of the new pintastic treasures! They appear to be available around WDW beginning today.

 

The six Scoop pin trading pins featuring Mickey and Friends with their pin boards and wearing Scoop's iconic costume are officially out today. Along with them, the OE rack pins PP170604 and PP170593 have also appeared!

 

 

There are a lot more fun Pin Trading releases coming, with two new ones just announced for this month. They're beginning a monthly series of Pin Trading medal-style pins. We just added the first one to the database last night: PP170871

 

 

And there's going to be a really cool Pin-Trader Mickey mini jumbo LR, released with both a WDW version (PP170855) and a DLR version (PP170856) sometime this month.

Sis and I are definitely going to be in a bit of trouble this year with this fabulous theme! I can see our pin piggy bank getting a lot of use. We definitely need some of those Scoop pins (Mickey and C&D, particularly), the anniversary logo with Mickey, and the WDW Pin Trader Mickey. Not that we'll probably make it very long without getting one of those pin trading medal pins, too. 

 

Is anyone else excited about any of these pins and/or this general theme? If so, what are you looking forward to adding to your collection?

That's exactly the problem with these! And I think once we see them in real life, the problem will magnify. 

 

Just found an eBay listing showing a new anniversary lanyard that must have come out today as well!

 

The Disney Store UK site has these featured on their site in a grand banner! Plus, all six are for sale there.
