angelo97
Hi everyone, I have a quick question. Last year the pin event released this Donald Duck pin (PP159340). I didn’t go to the pin event and I didn’t think I needed it for my collection. I have know since realized I do. But can someone explain to me why it’s so expensive on the secondary market? Did something happen at the event? Did it have errors? I just don’t understand why it seems to be the most expensive pin from the event with “trade value” and selling for around $250-300 on eBay. If anyone has any information on this I’d love to know. And if you have the pin or know someone that does let me know.
buzz2001
You never know what pins will take off. This is one that many loved and it drove the market up.

I figured that people like it, however it didn’t even sell out at the event. I’ve seen creators show that it went to different pin locations as unsold pins do. Just seems odd. PinGoddess
It actually did sell out at the event to begin with. I and a number of people I know that had it on their RSP did not get it. Some may have returned theirs at the event but I know there was a waiting list for returns. I also need it for my collection but thought because it was Donald that there would be some available at the event. I did not reckon on the theme of pintrading to guide more pin collectors to want it.

I collect scoop didn’t make the connection from the catalog art.
TheTwins
This was definitely a pretty impossible pin to get. Scoop wanted it for his collection and wasn't even able to get it. I think it was the whole pin trading theme for this pin that made it so unobtainable. Some of the other pins in the set are not very hard to get.
breagirl
I know I had a lot of friends that wanted for the tiny pin aspect of it because they collect tiny kingdoms. It definitely sold out at the event-I know I had it on my RSP and didn’t get it. Some of them could have been returned but it was trading very high the first day of the event.
