Unknown Mickey Icon Pin

I have been trying for quite some time to identify this pin.  I traded for it at WDW about 10 years ago.  Colors in the photo are a bit brighter than they should be due to the lighting I used when taking the pic.  The back has the mickey icon texture and expected manufacturing info, but no date that I can make out.  The back also has the pin and two nubs.

I have tried searching on Icon pins, lots of pages of those.  I thought the pattern might be from the Tower of Terror or Haunted Mansion uniforms, but no luck on those either.

Hopefully somebody has better knowledge than I do.

There must have been a series of pins from EPCOT. The pin looks similar to PP116509. Maybe a Moroccan version.

It does look a lot like PP116509.  My neighbor did a Google image search and found both 116509 and my pin on the pinandpop.com site.  They both have the same title as well.  Somewhat confusing.

The pinandpop.com pin number is 76083 for the pin I am trying to identify.  They say the release date was 2015.

Maybe each country released or releases a themed pin. Ot May they mad them if/when they were trying to attract a new country to the showcase. Weird that they have the same title.

Pretty sure I remember seeing this pin for sale at Animal Kingdom back in the day.  Your pin does say 2015, it's just really hard to see.

Hi!

That's a gorgeous pin.  However, I would look at it closely.  If you notice, the numbers on the date and the lettering are mismatched.   Also, Disney spends especially close attention to the mickey shape because it's their trademark. The ears on the pin itself are a nit misshapen.  You can appreciate that, especially on the back image.  Pictures can distort details but I would definitely look at it closely for those signs of authenticity.  Thanks for posting!

I agree with Vaderpintrader,  the lack of authenticity would also account for the difference in the front pattern between this and PP116509 which I believe is the true original this was based off of.

I searched on a couple other pin databases and was not able to locate this pin. I googled and only found one listing that did not provide any significant details.

I am beginning to believe that Vaderpintrader is correct.  Wouldn't be the first counterfeit I have traded for.

The ears are slightly mis-shaped and the letter & numbers don't match well.  Even inside the date, one number is mismatched to the others.

Thank you everyone for helping me unravel this mystery.
