Snow White Shoe

Are either of these authentic?  I am 99% sure the one on the right is fake. The color is way off.  Not sure about the one in the left.

It is also fake. The Mickey-head waffle patter does not go to the edge, hence a boarder. Anything 2019 and older that has a boarder is a fake. Another thing to look for the shoe on the right has thicker lines. That is usually a big sign it is fake.

I am confused about the Mickey head waffle pattern going to the edge.  Is there a post or a picture somewhere that illustrates what that looks like?

There isn’t a post…yet…that details it.  Though some of these more seasoned traders may know of one.  I know that it’s being discussed (a more comprehensive way to identify fakes).  In the mean time I can try to help a little.

as @Dragon57 was saying…the pattern not going to the edge on any pin dated older than 2019 is fake because in 2020 , due to Corona virus…laziness?  Quality control in the factories went caput.  I have opened several brand new blind boxes IN the park in a pin trade store and received pins with flaws and waffle head borders.

Forgive my rough shod photography and display lol.

These are photos of pins from PP165467 Easter Egg series released in 2020IMG_0401.thumb.jpeg.c855fbc1379383a60ce5c6bbbb4d19ff.jpeg

the Judy Hopps on top is @Dragon57s authentic PinPics photo of said pin.  Directly below is a front and back photo of mine (ignore coloring here).  Next to Judy is the White rabbit also Dragons authentic PinPic photo from the same series.  The back photo of white rabbit is below right next to my back photo of Judy.  To the far right is a splice of Dragons white rabbit and my Judy.  You can see highlighted in yellow and outlined in red is the “border” we are talking about.  Clearly there is no border on the white rabbit half.  No pins in this illustration are fake.

Below are comparisons of Donald Tiki Face issued in 2014IMG_0404.thumb.jpeg.1a9c0189fae4df8650f4c0f521663135.jpeg

the top photo is @Dragon57s authentic pin.  The bottom is a photo of my very fake pin.  Clearly there is a border and because it is 2014 it can almost automatically be ruled a fake.  This is without looking at the front photo where you can see obvious color differences as well as dips in the enamel.

I hope this makes a bit more sense now.

These all indicators of a fake that I’ve learned.  There are always some exceptions but just for this pin…here is another visualIMG_0407.thumb.jpeg.17aea95baf06739ce1967363dbbf4bf8.jpeg

OK, now I see what yall are talking about with the border.  It is such a small thing to look for but I see the difference.  The other thing I didn't catch was the no nub.  Thanks for the info, I appreciate it.

Thank you @Hart that was a perfect explanation. PinPics is coming out with a document what to look for in fakes/scrappers. My part of the document is the Cast Lanyard, Hidden Mickey and Hidden Disney which are one of the most heavily faked. You can use these guidelines for any pin. It does help identify pins that have issues if you know what to look for and usually most fakes have more than one issue but not always.
