Newest to Oldest Out of Order After Release Year Corrected?

Hi all, I'm new to Pin Pics and recently finished inputting my whole collection here! I had found an error on a pin (PP168754) which has since been corrected. It is a 2017 pin but the release year was listed as 2024. It was fixed incredibly fast! I am super impressed by the community here.

However, when I sort my collection Newest to Oldest this 2017 pin still shows up at the top, above my pin from 2023 (and vice versa- at the very bottom when I sort Oldest to Newest). It's like my collection still thinks it is a 2024 pin! Has anyone ever come across this or know how to fix it? Thanks so much!

Hi! Do you know how long ago the date was fixed on the incorrect pin? My guess is that the server has not refreshed some data yet, unless this happened awhile ago.

Ah, that makes sense! Checked my email inbox, I submitted my comment and got an almost immediate response 5 days ago. I'll keep an eye on it, and pop back in here eventually if it doesn't sort itself out. Thanks a bunch!

Hi, I believe this is because when you click "oldest" or "newest" it sorts on the #PinPics and not the date the pin was released. I believe this is something that is being addressed in the upcoming update. The Twins or Molly or Joe will know for sure. But I believe once the update is made to the system the "oldest" or "newest" will sort on the release date rather than the #PinPics. -Mike

Oh, very interesting. Thanks for letting me know! To the best of my knowledge that one pin seemed like the only one that was out of order in my collection.

Ah, it does look like my 2017 Sorcerer Mickey pin has a larger Pin Number than the ones that came before it! I see what you mean now. Thanks for pointing that out! In the meantime if that doesn't get updated, at least it is one of the easiest pins in my collection to date... considering it's got the year on the front 🙂

Hi All!

So Oldest to newest is based on the PP# not the year of the pin. Could be something to look at in the future in how this is sorted or maybe you could choose in your own collection....but for right now it is based on the PP#.
