12ontheway
When we went to WDW in 2000, it started me collecting and trading. I searched to see if there was anyway to keep track of them and low and behold PinPics! ! I have loved be part of PinPics and since Molly and Joe took it over I have loved it even more. Thanks MoJo. 2
firechief18
My wife and I started collecting pins during our trips to WDW for our Anniversary in May (also coincided with Star Wars Weekends). Found Pin pics in 2013 while searching for a few pins to complete some hidden Mickey and Star Wars pins. Have made some really great trades and met some awesome people. A great pin community in a positive atmosphere. Enjoy the Thursday night Zoom meetings and the Saturday pin sales when I can. 2
pinsgaruma
Happy belated birthday to Pinpics. How could I missed it? Pinpics has opened a totally new world for me. I did not even collect pins at the time, only learning to surf by helping out my sister with her pin collection. My sister used to go to all flea markets around town to find pins she did not have yet. As her legs became a problem I put her in front of the pc and learned her to participate on cheap pins bidding. Ebay became her new flea market, nothing huge, (she collected pins, her favorite being coca cola pins) I liked the Disney cola pins and discovered Pinpics, thanks to ChipDalePooh a collector on ebay. A new job to keep my sister busy: look for our (yes, I participated in the Disney collection) disney pins on Pinpics. I bought her a little English/Dutch pocket book and off she was. She learned using the pc thanks to Pinpics! Within the first month (2006) I got a mail from America, asking if I wanted to trade. Seemed my sister not only found our pins, she also clicked on pins she liked ... nearly 20 years later I'm still here, trading is less, or rather more exclusively with a few trader friends, all because of the postal charges. Ever since the bad years when Pinpics was sick, I don't want to call it different, so many complained, other databases arose ... I stopped waiting for pins not showing and started to add all I had and did not show. It became an addiction. When life treats me badly, I add a few pins, or make new pictures of the old ones. I'm not very handy and I'm not English, the need to focus to do the things right, make my head stop turning. Pinpics and I, is a true love story. I'm so glad Pinpics has overcome its illness, it will remain number ONE because no other database has those old pins, pins which do not even resemble nowadays pins, but they have an history the daily releases everywhere in the world will never have. Pinpics has found a very good home with Joe and Molly, a courageous couple trying to fill the gaps made and well I believe they will succeed. 3
trknight2
Happy anniversary! Thank you for providing such a valuable resource for pin collectors. I began using Pin Pics a few years ago when I began collecting pins for myself. I have been helping my daughters collect for years but decided to start my own collection. Your website has been so helpful. 2
mollyanne
It is so amazing to read all of these posts!!! PinPics is a labor of love for Joe and me. We are so glad we found so many others that see it that way as well.....our Volunteer Admins are amazing @TheTwins and our Volunteer Editors @Dragon57 @MicksMaster @Vally @buzz2001. We also have those folks that help us SOOOO much from overseas like @pinsgaruma and@Evansun. They help us get in the pin pictures for Europe and Shanghai! We also want to thank @ScoopsPins Holland Hayes for all of his support, amazing posts and for allowing us to photograph his Cast Lanyard and Hidden Mickey collections to get Authentic pictures of all. Also @Dragon57 has been AMAZING in this endeavor as well. You can see their entries have special watermarks on the pin pictures. Twenty-five years is quite a milestone and we are looking forward to many more years and all of the amazing things coming to PinPics!! Keep posting your memories! 2
tinkrocks
Happy Anniversary PinPics! I started 'collecting' pins around 1999 / 2000. Some of the first pins I got were a WDW Dixie Landings logo pin, WDCS Membership pins, and some of the Countdown to Millennium pins from the Disney Store. I joined PinPics in November 2007. Over the years, I have met with fellow pin collectors / traders at local Disney's Character Warehouse locations, in the parks (WDW), and also here on PinPics. Thank you to Molly & Joe for keeping this site going. Thanks also to the administrators & content providers. ºoº Edited December 10 by tinkrocks 1
grottopins
Happy Anniversary! I joined this site 10 years ago and this site not only helped me grow my interest in pin collecting, but inspired me to lean more into trading as well as attending in-person trading events! I'm so excited to see what the future holds! 2
Solarus
I am a brand new member to the board, but pinpics is what pushed me over from considering the hobby to jumping right in! Everybody here is so nice and supportive. 3
