Over the years, we've rescued a LOT of cats (had 13 indoors at one time), but they've passed away now, leaving Henry as the sole feline in our house. He's very sweet, and maybe just a teeny bit spoiled. He is six years old, and we rescued him when he was about six or seven weeks old. Someone threw him out of an SUV window at our corner, and he managed to get himself over to our front step. After some TLC, he blossomed and has been a joy ever since. He's a bit crazy, but we love him! 1 5

TheTwins Posted November 18, 2023 Author Posted November 18, 2023 I had a very special kitty, who was born in our dining room and we were blessed with her for 8 1/2 wonderful years. She was one of a litter of six, and I always said that God took all the pieces left over and made her. She wasn't "beautiful", as she had a very square snout, a crossed eye, tiny head, round tummy, tail with a crook in it, and spindly legs with toes stuck off the ends . . . and a little goatee beard. But, she was just a beautiful personality and the sweetest thing. When I would be sewing, she'd curl up behind me in my chair (so I'd sit perched on the edge) and just sleep the whole time. She was a really cute babe, loved to eat lettuce, and had a half-degree comfort zone. She was named Avis (pronounced "av" as in "have" and "is" as in "his") after a character in the Brother Cadfael mystery books (not the car rental company!). I still think these are two of the best kitty pictures we've taken! The second is her about 2 years old, and she is actually curled up in the bathroom sink! 2 5

Been a Pinpics member since 2010 so definitely not a newbie haha 2 4

sithathoriunet Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 We have two German Shepherds! Abby is 10 and has been with us for 4 years, and Hejra (pronounced high-ruh) is 2 and a half. We adopted her when she was just 2 months old. We love them both dearly. 3 2

I need to update the pics, Mako on the left, is nearly all white faced and Rafi on the right, is looking like a distinguished older gent with gray whiskers and eyebrows! He’s about six years old and I’ve had him since he was separated from his mother who was rescued from a huge hoarding situation of over 500 pigs. 1 3

Murrie (short for Murrie Christmas -referenced in Mickeys Once Upon A Christmas) Perrie (after Perry the Platypus from Phineas and Ferb) and then both babies together (my sister in law worked some magic getting this photo lol) 2 2
